Stone Ridge is seeking an Associate Athletics Director - Internal Operations to begin work in February 2023. 

Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. The Associate Athletics Director, Internal Operations, is responsible for: 

• supporting the Director of Athletics in the daily operation of all aspects required to successfully run the Department of Athletics.
• overseeing a portion of the school’s 50+ athletic teams in 15 different sports.
• oversight and preparation of all fields, gyms and courts for SR athletic contests and practices, as well as external user groups
• leading game management for all home athletic contests
• leading the distribution, collection and inventory maintenance of all athletic uniforms and athletics equipment for Middle and Upper School teams at the beginning and end of each sports season. 
• leading Athletic Department transportation scheduling and collaborating with external vendors and the internal use of school-owned vehicles.
• leading the coordination of official, referee, scorer and umpire scheduling for all home athletic events. 
• leading coordination of facility maintenance work requests and access requests for the SR Athletic Department to the Facilities Department. 
• assisting with the financial record keeping and budgeting for the Athletic Department.
• collaborating with the Athletic Department to plan, organize and execute special events throughout the school year.
• assisting with communications related to the Athletic Department. 
• teaching physical education courses or assisting with coaching athletic teams as needed.

Requirements: 

• A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree preferred. 
• Experience working in an independent school or collegiate setting
• Ability to communicate effectively with clarity - orally and in writing
• Strong organizational skills as well as high-levels of follow-through. 
• Advanced proficiency with computers, especially with MS Office, Google Suite and the ability to learn any job-specific software. 
• Experience supervising staff
• Familiarity with scheduling or athletics software or interfaces is desirable
• Ability to work as part of a team

This position is a 12-month position and the schedule is anticipated to be 10:00-6:30 PM Monday through Friday with limited weekend or evening hours being required as dictated by the school and athletic schedules.
