School Counselor, Pre-K-Grade 8
Green Acres School is seeking an experienced full-time counselor to work with students in Pre-K-8th grade. The school counselor provides counseling services to individuals and groups of students in a safe and welcoming environment. The counselor acts as a consultant to parents, teachers, and administrators. Duties and support services provided by the counselor include: Building relationships with students throughout the community; Providing behavior management assistance and crisis intervention when necessary; Working with students with social-emotional challenges, whether those challenges are clinically diagnosed or not; Communicating with families about their children, both sharing accounts from school and listening to accounts from home;
