Lowell School, a progressive school of approximately 300 students in NW Washington, DC, is looking for a Second Grade Teacher to cover a parental leave from late February to mid-June. The substitute teacher will have an opportunity to overlap with the current teacher for a week or so in February. Ideal candidates have experience teaching in elementary grades and are interested in working with a co-teacher. In keeping with the mission of Lowell, ideal candidates will also have a desire to work in a community that values diversity, equity, and cultural competency.  Additional requirements include: *A bachelor’s degree in elementary education (master’s preferred) *Experience as a co-teacher, preferably at an independent school *
