The Langley School, a PS-8 independent school in McLean, Virginia, seeks a middle school social studies teacher to cover parental leaves from August 2019 through January 2020. The successful candidate will teach middle school social studies. Our middle school teachers focus on the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child to create a nurturing and stimulating environment in which to learn. Faculty work collaboratively to create and implement integrated units of study as they strive to meet the needs of every child, every day.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, previous middle school teaching experience, strong background in social studies, excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfort with integrating technology into the curriculum, interest in collaborating with colleagues, commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment, and a passion for working with children required.
